The Power of Mindset
Our brains are ridiculously, scarily and amazingly powerful. We create our realities with our thoughts. Ever since I've learned that I can change my life by training my brain, I've become more confident and hopeful about the future.
Also really cool: growth mindset. I (and that means you too) can learn anything. Sure, some subjects/skills are easier than others and you might have to look around for a while before you find the right teacher. But by taking it one step at a time, I (and that means you too) will get wherever I want to go.
My favourite mantra: I am me and there's no one I'd rather be! For more info on the subject, see the list of resources.

I practiced:
- brainwashing myself
- being aware of my emotions
- shifting emotions
- mindfulness
- positive rants (see Dana Wilde's "Positive mindset for entrepreneurs" podcast for examples)

I learned:
- my thoughts and emotions create my reality. I'm in charge of both, so I create my own reality.
- that a growth mindset liberates me from limitations
- how to pick or write an affirmation that actually works
- emotions are caused by thoughts. To change my emotions I pick better thoughts.
- the results I get are created by my expectations. If I want better results I have to increase my expectations.
- the physical symptoms for fear and excitement are the same. I can turn fear into excitement by reframing my reaction.
